What’s New In Apple iOS 15.5 / iPadOS 15.5 Developer Preview Beta 2?

Today, Apple pushed the iOS 15.5 / iPadOS 15.5 Developer Preview Beta 2 update (build number: 19F5057e) to iPhone and iPad users, two weeks after the last release.

iOS 15.5/iPadOS 15.5 beta 2 updates are as follows:

iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 are minor updates with limited changes compared to previous iOS 15 releases. Apple may release the Apple Music Classical app sometime in the near future (mentioned). Apple is laying the groundwork for a feature with the iOS 15.5 update that will allow Reader app developers to add links to external websites for registering and managing accounts outside of the App Store.

Apple Pay Cash also has some small changes, adding request and send options, and Apple is making some changes to iTunes Pass that used to be available in the Wallet app.

iOS 15.5/iPadOS 15.5 beta 2 upgrade method:

Step 1. To prevent unexpected situations, before upgrading, please back up all data in the device in advance (iCloud, 3uTool, iTunes Backup).

Step 2. After the upgrade, you cannot downgrade back to the iOS version for which Apple’s official verification has been turned off.

Step 3. Because the beta version may have some unstable situations or unknown problems, it is not recommended to use the main equipment to upgrade.

It can be upgraded by:

Method 1: You can install the iOS 15 test version description file on the device (follow the Aisi Assistant WeChat official account, reply to “Description file” to get it, open and download the description file through the Safari browser and go to Settings – General – Description File Install the description file), restart the phone after installation, and then go to Settings – General – Check for Updates. You can also scan the QR code below, then open it in the Safari browser and follow the prompts to install the description file.

Method 2: It can be upgraded through the one-click flashing function of Aisi Assistant, 3uTools: Open 3uTool, Aisi Assistant on a PC (need to update to the latest version), and connect the iOS device to the computer.

On the “Smart Flash” – “One-click Flash” interface of Aisi Assistant, select iOS 15.5 beta 2, check the option of “Preserve user data for flashing”, click “Flash now” and wait patiently for the flashing to complete.
