Whether it’s Google, a third-party application, or your computer, here are some ways to back up your phone to make sure you don’t find yourself in a situation where you end up with lost data.

Backing up most of your data is much easier with Google, and has become much easier in the last few years. Unfortunately, there is still no way to back up a single stop for Android phones with Google.   1. You have not used your device for 57 days

You can set your phone to automatically save your files.

  1. Open your Phone Settings app.
  2. Select Google and then Backup.
  3. Optional: When it’s your first time, open Copy Backup with Google One and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Tap Backup Now.

Your Google One backup can take up to 24 hours. If your data is saved, “Unlocked” will be under the data types you selected.

  2. Touch System and then Backup. If these steps do not match your phone settings, try searching your settings app for a backup copy, or get help from your device manufacturer.
